The “Kendall Band” isthe interactive musical sculpture by Paul Matisse,commissioned by the MBTA in the 1980’s, and installed within the MIT – Kendall Station of the Red Line. The mission of the Kendall Band Preservation Society formed in 2010, is to restore and maintain the sculpture.

Casentini Incorporated assisted the Society with organization of documentation of all custom and stockthe components of the instruments, as well as organization of maintenance notes and procedures developed by the artist and supervisor of the restoration project.
